New Committee

Lately there has been conversation and questions in regard to different “ploys, gambits, maneuvers, devices” archers are using to assist them in classes other than Barebow. We know there are many archers that need help with certain issues such as anxiety, panic, and accuracy, and Barebow is designed to help all archers achieve their goals. There are truly some interesting arguments in regards to the term traditional, but as an organization we must promote fair and equitable competition and not create an arms race. We must be mindful of the integrity of traditional archery and have respect for our fellow archers. The I.B.O. has created an oversight-protest committee to analyze and respond to any issue that may arise. They will serve as a protest committee at our events and an advisory committee to the I.B.O. Board of Directors for traditional archery. The committee members are Levy Bryant, Martin Head, Mark Lynde, Dewayne Martin, Randy Irvine, Cory Gulvas, and Bill Curlis. These members will work diligently to make the best decisions in the interest of traditional archery. Thank you…
